\nThe First Special Advance Apportionment for Charter Schools, Fiscal Year 2022\u201323 has been certified and provides Local Control Funding Formula state aid for charter schools in their first year of operation, charter schools expanding grade levels, and the charter schools\u2019 sponsoring school districts. The entitlement calculations are based on data reported in the Pupil Estimates for New and Significantly Expanding Charter Schools data collection.
\nThe following information is now available on the California Department of Education\u2019s website at www.cde.ca.gov\/fg\/aa\/pa\/chschspcadv2223.asp<\/a> to assist local educational agencies (LEAs) in understanding the components of the 2022\u221223 First Special Advance Apportionment for Charter Schools:
\n* Apportionment letter that describes the funding calculations and available resources for the apportionment.
\n* Excel files: First Special Advance Apportionment Summary, First Special Advance Apportionment Payment Schedule (by LEA and by County), and First Special Advance In-lieu of Property Taxes for Countywide, County Program, and State Board of Education Approved Charter Schools.
