{"id":2253,"date":"2024-09-17T22:10:59","date_gmt":"2024-09-17T22:10:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/business.sbceo.org\/apportionments\/?p=2253"},"modified":"2024-09-17T17:33:49","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T00:33:49","slug":"reminder-prior-year-corrections-data-due","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/business.sbceo.org\/apportionments\/?p=2253","title":{"rendered":"REMINDER: Prior Year Corrections Data Due"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"postie-post\">\n<div>\n<p style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">You are receiving this message because you have subscribed to the Principal Apportionment (PASE) Listserv.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">As a reminder, prior year corrections that will be reflected with the 2024&#8211;25 First Principal Apportionment (P-1) certification are due to the California Department of Education (CDE) <strong>no later than Tuesday, October 1<sup>st<\/sup><\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Prior year corrections include: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong>Audit Adjustments to California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) Data<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color:black;\">For all local educational agencies (LEAs), an auditor&#8217;s letter of concurrence is required for all changes except a decrease in unduplicated pupil count.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"background:white;\"><span style=\"color:black;\">Prior Year Corrections other than Audit Adjustments to CALPADS data<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"color:black;line-height:normal;background:white;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Corrections to data in the Principal Apportionment Data Collection (PADC) Web Application is only applicable to data reported in fiscal year (FY) 2021&#8211;22 and after. Corrections to FY 2020&#8211;21 and prior must be done using the PADC desktop software, available for download on the PADC web page located at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ca.gov\/fg\/sf\/pa\/\">https:\/\/www.cde.ca.gov\/fg\/sf\/pa\/<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"color:black;line-height:normal;background:white;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">For FYs 2021&#8211;22 and prior, average daily attendance (ADA) corrections must be greater than +\/- 1 ADA in order to be processed.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"color:black;line-height:normal;background:white;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">For FYs 2022&#8211;23 and prior, increases in ADA and ADA movement between grade spans must be supported by an audit finding or auditor letter of concurrence.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"color:black;line-height:normal;background:white;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Corrections for FYs 2019&#8211;20 and prior will be accepted only if the correction is the result of an audit exception as described in&nbsp;<em>Education Code<\/em>&nbsp;Section 41341(a)(2). Additionally, CDE&#8217;s authority to spend funds appropriated in the budget act expires after three years.
