\nWe have been tracking revenue collection data and believe the Legislative Analyst’s Office Fiscal Outlook correctly identifies remarkable revenue growth over the budget period with corresponding growth of the Proposition 98 guarantee. Even after providing a relatively large COLA and allocating funds for new or expanded programs from the last budget, we expect nearly $10 billion of additional ongoing funds and a similar amount of one-time dollars. The Administration will put together their own projections and provide their blueprint for the next budget act when they release the Governor’s January Budget Proposal.
\nCapitol Advisors will discuss the January budget proposal and proposed funding and programs, as well as advocacy plans related to:
\n * increased funding through the LCFF * policies to mitigate the impact of declining enrollment and ADA * funding and policy issues related to programs such as special education, expanded learning, TK, universal meals, community schools, etc. * the political dynamics that will impact the Legislature’s consideration of the Governor’s proposal
