\nDistrict staff may receive emails to pay for access to System for Award Management (SAM) – see sample scam email below. This company is preying on districts that may or may not know or understand what SAM is.
\nSAM.gov is a legitimate Official U.S. Government Website:
\nThe System for Award Management, or SAM, is a government-wide portal that is consolidating the capabilities of multiple systems and information sources used by the Federal government in conducting the acquisition and financial assistance (which includes grants and cooperative agreements) processes. It does not cost to have access to the SAM system.
\nIf you receive communications from registrationscenter.com such as the email below, please disregard\/delete it. SAM is a free service and registration is done through the sam.gov website.
