\nSACS WEB SYSTEM 2022\u201323 FIRST INTERIM REPORTING
\nThe 2022\u201323 first interim financial reporting functionality is now available in the California Department of Education (CDE) Standardized Account Code Structure Web-based Financial Reporting System (SACS Web System) at sacs-cde.org\/security\/login<\/a>.
\nNOTE: There is an exception for joint powers agency (JPA) Criteria and Standards form (Form 01CSI). See additional information below.
\nKNOWN ISSUES AND WORKAROUNDS
\nFORM 01CSI (JPAs only): There are known issues with the JPA Form 01CSI. JPA users should not complete Form 01CSI until CDE announces a system release update that includes fixes for this form. JPAs can still import a first interim data file, run technical review checks and complete other forms up to the point that Form 01CSI would be completed.
\nOther SACS Web System issues and available workarounds are posted in the Problems and Fixes section of News and Announcements, available on the user\u2019s dashboard upon logging into the system. This section will be updated as additional issues arise.
\nUsers should refer to this information prior to seeking assistance with SACS Web System issues.
\nLOGGING INTO THE SYSTEM
\nUpon logging into the system, users may receive a message that the password needs to be changed. Click on the \u201cI forgot my password\u201d link, then enter the user email address to generate an email that will provide a link to reset the password.
\nFIRST INTERIM REPORTING RESOURCES
\nOnline help: There is online help available throughout the SACS Web System reporting screens by clicking on the help icon (question mark) located next to a screen heading.
\nUser guide: A stand-alone SACS Web System user guide is being finalized. Users may refer to the SACS2022ALL Software User Guide, included in the SACS2022ALL desktop software used for 2021\u201322 unaudited actuals financial reporting, for information regarding interim financial reporting in the SACS Web System. In addition, changes to forms and other processes for the 2022\u201323 interim reporting period are available in the \u201cWhat\u2019s New\u201d section of that user guide.
\nTo download the SACS2022ALL software, please visit the CDE Financial Reporting Software web page at www.cde.ca.gov\/fg\/sf\/fr\/<\/a> and follow the posted instructions. The user guide and financial reporting calendars will be copied to the subdirectory C:\\SACS2022ALL\\Calendars and Manuals.
\nFinancial reporting calendars: The financial reporting and fiscal oversight calendars are available on the CDE Fiscal Calendars web page at www.cde.ca.gov\/re\/ca\/fc\/<\/a>. Alternatively, the financial reporting calendars are included in the SACS2022ALL desktop software, as noted above.
\nSACS validation tables: The SACS Web System is updated with the most recent validation tables, dated September 19, 2022, which are the same as those posted to the CDE SACS Valid Codes and Combinations web page at www.cde.ca.gov\/fg\/ac\/ac\/validcodes.asp<\/a>.
\nTo receive an email notification each time the validation tables are updated, please send a blank email message to join-sacs-update@mlist.cde.ca.gov<\/a><mailto:join-sacs-update@mlist.cde.ca.gov<\/a><\/a>>.
\nCHARTER SCHOOL INTERIM PERIOD REPORTING
\nOnly charter schools that use SACS will be able to utilize the SACS Web System first interim financial reporting functionality. There is no charter school alternative form available in the SACS Web System for the 2022\u201323 interim reporting periods. Charter schools should discuss with their authorizing agency the format to be used to submit interim financial reports.
\nNOTE REGARDING 2022\u201323 AND FUTURE REPORTING PERIODS
\nFinancial reports for 2022\u201323 and subsequent years will be prepared using the SACS Web System. Additional information regarding the SACS Web System is available on the CDE Financial Reporting web page at www.cde.ca.gov\/fg\/sf\/fr\/<\/a>. The SACS desktop software will no longer be published.
