The California Department of Education (CDE) website has posted a recording of the Fiscal Year 2025–26 Attendance Accounting & Instructional Time Requirements Fall Webinar.
This presentation by the School Fiscal Services Division provides a general overview of:
* Instructional Time requirements,
* The methods for claiming Average Daily Attendance (ADA),
* Attendance Recovery – a new program to recoup lost attendance for apportionment and chronic absenteeism as an alternative to Saturday school,
* Independent Study,
* Transitional Kindergarten – under its first year of full implementation, and
* The Form J-13A – a process local educational agencies (LEAs) should follow to recapture lost attendance or instructional time credit in the case of an emergency event.
