Attendance Section Added to Independent Study FAQs
You are receiving this message because you have subscribed to the Principal Apportionment (PASE) Listserv.
The California Department of Education (CDE) website has posted an update to its Independent Study Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) web page.
A link to this web page is included: www.cde.ca.gov/fg/it/instructionaltimefaq.asp
This update adds a section called Make-Up Attendance with FAQs that clarify that independent study cannot be used as a make-up attendance program. CDE added this section in response to ongoing confusion about the use of independent study for makeup make‑up attendance following the passage of Senate Bill (SB) 153<leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202320240SB153>.
