Apportionment for Reversing Opioid Overdose, Fiscal Year 2025–26

The purpose of this email is to notify you that the California Department of Education (CDE) has sent an apportionment to the State Controller’s Office for payment. This apportionment, in the amount of $3,500,000, is made from funds provided by California Education Code Section 49414.8 added by Section 55 of Senate Bill 114 (Chapter 48, Statutes of 2023). Funds are apportioned to county offices of education for the purpose of purchasing and maintaining a sufficient stock of emergency opioid antagonists for local educational agencies within its jurisdiction and reflects 100 percent of funds available in fiscal year 2025–26.
