Updated Form J-13A Submission Requirements

The California Department of Education (CDE) has updated Form J‑13A submission requirements and related web resources to reflect recent legislation amending the Education Code.
All Form J‑13A requests for emergency events occurring on or after July 1, 2026, must include a completed Certification Form for Instructional Continuity Plan (ICP) and Implementation as part of the required submission documentation.
CDE has updated the following Form J‑13A resources:
* Form J-13A<www.cde.ca.gov/fg/it/j13a.asp> landing page: Revised to reflect new statutory requirements and provide clearer guidance on submission expectations. * Form J-13A Submission Documents<www.cde.ca.gov/fg/it/j13aforms.asp> web page: Updated to include the required Certification Form for ICP and Implementation for all Form J-13A submissions related to events occurring on or after July 1, 2026. * ICP Guidance<www.cde.ca.gov/re/di/or/icpguidance.asp> web page: Expanded to provide additional information on ICP requirements and implementation expectations. * Form J-13A Quick Reference Guide<www.cde.ca.gov/fg/it/documents/J-13AQuickReference26.pdf>: Updated to align with new requirements and streamline the submission process.
