Accounts Receivable – End of Calendar Year 2023
Please be advised that the Santa Barbara County Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office will be closed from December 25, 2023 – January 01, 2024. This includes the Santa Barbara and Santa Maria locations.
Their offices will reopen on January 2, 2024.
The last day for deposits sent to our office to have a deposit record date in 2023 will be December 20, 2023. Deposits received after this date will have a recorded date of 2024.

Reminder: Accounts Payable – Holiday Schedule

Dear School Business Professionals,

Accounts Payable – Holiday Schedule
The Santa Barbara County Education Office will be closed December 22nd through December 26th and December 29th through January 1st. We will be auditing all regular AP submissions through Friday, December 15th. There will be a winter recess from our regular Accounts Payable schedule for AP submissions from December 18th through January 1st. The regular AP schedule will resume on January 2nd.
Please review your district’s Accounts Payable calendar located here<sbasweb.sbceo.org/purchasing/accounts-payable-processing> and the impact the upcoming holidays will have on your Accounts Payable submission and delivery schedule.

P-1 Attendance Reminder DUE JANUARY 8

Attendance Reporting Reminder: P-1 Attendance Reports must be certified by the district no later than Monday, January 8, 2024.
The Principal Apportionment Data Collection (PADC) Web Application<pas.cde.ca.gov/> is now available for reporting 2023-24 First Principal Apportionment (P-1) data on the California Department of Education (CDE).
The following 2023-24 P-1 data is due by Monday, January 8, 2024:
* Attendance * Necessary Small School * Adults in Correctional Facilities * Special Education Local Plan Area Average Daily Attendance Allocation * Special Education Tax Allocation * Infant Funding * Charter School Physical Location * Transfer of Funds Alternative Rate Option * Proposition 28: Arts and Music in Schools Certification
Resources for data reporting and certification are posted on the PADC webpage<www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/pa/index.asp?tabsection=4> under the Data Collection tab.
The PADC User Manual<www.cde.ca.gov/fg/sf/pa/> (v 2023-24 1.00) may be used in reporting data for the above-mentioned data entry screens.

* The following data entry screen has been added: * Proposition 28: Arts and Music in Schools Certification

* The PADC Web Export feature for county office of education PADC Administrators has been updated. The downloadable reports now include leading entity information such as entity name, county district school code and other identity specific information, where applicable.
Reminders:
* Read the User Manual thoroughly for step-by-step instructions and tips for specific data entry screens. * Make sure to save all data before navigating to the next record or tab within a data entry screen; verify all data saved correctly before validation and data certification. * If the system generates a blank page, do not refresh the browser. Instead, close the application and re-open it to continue. * If you experience technical difficulties, please call, or email the Principal Apportionment Section at 916-324-4541 or PADC@cde.ca.gov<mailto:PADC@cde.ca.gov>. * Prior year corrections (fiscal year 2020-21 and prior) should continue to be submitted through the PADC desktop software for each applicable year. Education Code requires LEAs to file the annual financial audit report for the preceding fiscal year with our office, the State Controller’s Office (SCO), and the California Department of Education (CDE) by Dec. 15. Important notes about this Property Tax Report The items below represent significant changes from the prior reporting period P-Annual to P-1. * Column A-1: Increased growth in Secured Taxes. * Column A-8: Supplemental Taxes are anticipated to be lower in the current year than in the prior year. * Out-of-County Taxes are only reported at P-Annual but not estimated in P-1 and P-2.
