The California Department of Education (CDE) – California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) Team has released a CALPADS Update Flash #242 regarding an Extension of Deadline for Families to Submit National School Lunch Program Applications or Alternative Income Forms for Inclusion in Unduplicated Pupil Count.
The application/form deadline has been extended to November 30, 2022 to allow local educational agencies (LEAs) to collect these forms in recognition of the challenges they face in educating families that this is critical to submit these forms, even though all students may now receive a free meal under the Universal Meals Program.
As a reminder, the Report 1.17 – the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Unduplicated Pupil – Count is used to calculate the supplemental and concentration grant funding under the LCFF.
The update is available on the CDE website at www.cde.ca.gov/ds/sp/cl/calpadsupdflash242.asp.
