The Second Special Advance Apportionment for Charter Schools, Fiscal Year 2022–23 has been certified and provides Local Control Funding Formula state aid for charter schools in their first year of operation, continuing charter schools expanding grade levels, and the charter schools’ sponsoring school districts. The entitlement calculations are based on data reported in the 20 Day Attendance Report data collection.
The following information is now available on the California Department of Education’s website at www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/pa/chschspcadv2223.asp to assist local educational agencies (LEAs) in understanding the components of the 2022−23 Second Special Advance Apportionment for Charter Schools:
* Apportionment letter that describes the funding calculations and available resources for the apportionment.
* Excel files: Second Special Advance Apportionment Summary, Second Special Advance Apportionment Payment Schedule (by LEA and by County), and Second Special Advance Apportionment In-lieu of Taxes for Countywide, County Program, and State Board of Education Approved Charter Schools.
