cde.ca.gov/fg/it/aarecoveryguide.asp
Attendance Recovery programs can provide students with structured opportunities to recover missed instructional time and contribute to improved academic and attendance outcomes. Attendance Recovery also enables students to recoup absences for the purpose of apportionment.
The guidance, developed by experts in CDE’s Educational Options Office, emphasizes student engagement, instructional continuity, and equity. It also includes a comprehensive list of helpful web resources. This program guidance complements the existing Frequently Asked Questions page for Attendance Recovery located at www.cde.ca.gov/fg/it/aarecovery.asp.
For questions about the guidance for implementing high-quality Attendance Recovery programs, please contact Educational Options Office at EOO@cde.ca.gov<mailto:EOO@cde.ca.gov>.
