The Capitol Advisors team will provide detailed information on the final budget deal, including information on any Proposition 98 withholding and plans to repay funds owed to public schools in the future. As always, the discussion will include the critical election year context and consideration of the fiscal position of the state over the next few years.

In addition to the big picture Prop 98 issues, funding and policy changes for key programs will be covered, including:

* LCFF and COLA, including interactions between the COLA and a potential new paid pregnancy disability leave * Potential changes to CDE’s governance * Discretionary funding amounts and distribution methods * Community schools, special education, early learning and care programs, and others * Investments in the educator workforce, literacy training, and other programs

This workshop is provided at no cost and is presented by Capitol Advisors in collaboration with ACSA, CSBA, SSDA, AALRR and CLIMATEC.
