Accounts Payable – Winter Break Holiday Schedule 2020-21
For planning purposes, please see the following information about SBCEO’s upcoming Accounts Payable (AP) schedule and mark your calendars accordingly.
The Santa Barbara County Education Office will be closed December 23 through December 25, 2020 and December 31, 2020 through January 1, 2021. We will be auditing all regular AP submissions through Friday December 18, 2020. There will be a winter recess from our regular Accounts Payable schedule for AP submissions from December 21, 2020 through Friday January 1, 2021. We will resume our regular AP schedule starting Monday, January 4, 2021.
Please contact our office if you would like to make any special arrangements for your district’s AP that Holiday week.

Good Morning Santa Barbara County Districts!
The law firm of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, experts in laws relating to school district management, is offering a COMPLIMENTARY webinar on Thursday, November 12 starting at 3:00 p.m. The webinar will last 60-90 minutes. The topic is Construction 101. This topic was specifically requested by several Superintendents and administrators in the region and therefore we would like to open the session to all who would like to attend, whether or not you are already a client of our firm. During the presentation, Martin Hom, a partner within our facilities and construction practice group, will walk you and other attendees through topics such as the selection of your design professional and other consultants, planning and finance of the projects, project delivery methods available to school districts, issues that may arise during construction, and project closeout.
If you would like to increase your understanding of the construction process for district projects, or if you have any burning questions you would like to have answered, please join Mr. Hom on Thursday.
