The purpose of this email is to notify you that the California Department of Education (CDE) has sent an apportionment to the State Controller’s Office for payment. This apportionment, in the amount of $43,960,168 is made from federal funds provided to the state under Title II, Part A, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act, in support of grants awarded to eligible local educational agencies to increase student academic achievement through strategies focused on preparing, training, and recruiting high-quality teachers, principals, or other school leaders.
