Updated Request for Applications (RFA) Overview and Instructions for the California State Preschool Program Expansion Fiscal Year 2021–22

Dear California Local Educational Agencies, including School Districts, County Offices of Education, Community College Districts, and Direct-Funded Charter Schools,
The California Department of Education (CDE), Early Education Division (EED) was recently made aware that the overview and instructions for how to complete the fiscal forms for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021–22 California State Preschool Program (CSPP) Expansion Funding Request for Applications (RFA) did not align with the number of worksheets provided in the Full-day/Full-year and Part-day/Part-year Excel workbooks. As a result, the CDE, EED has updated Section VII–Fiscal Worksheets Part C, Full-day/Full-year and Part D. Part-day/Part-year of the FY 2021–22 CSPP Expansion Funding RFA Overview and Instructions to reference the correct number of fiscal forms required to be submitted.
The FY 2021–22 CSPP Expansion Funding RFA is due by the close of business on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Management Bulletin (MB) 22-02, the FY 2021–22 CSPP Expansion Funding RFA, and all accompanying documents can be accessed on the RFA web page at www.cde.ca.gov/fg/fo/r2/cspp21rfa.asp. Capital Advisors – May Revision Workshop: Budget Perspectives

Dear School Business Professionals,
Please join us for a May Budget Revision Workshop provided by Capitol Advisors on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 – 3:00pm to 4:30pm. Registration information can be found here<r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001mj8sY3mUmDpw0AdQ0k90ElfrZYv8Y9RG212pkWvocMJNDIHT7S6UT1uQsgsO2hRgHfFFRyy3iTc1SbmJiOPhUDEku5g6-TJRJAQXnRSy4KJV2FvNTcW3nZElzA-FS1zUN402iG61CYa-xkQ7gOgWNeJhOnNKpAosjtvXa4IIRCWFM…>.
“State revenue collections continue to outperform estimates used in the June 2021 Budget Act. For the May Revision, these revenues will translate to increases in Proposition 98 funding over the three-year budget period. In addition to fiscal issues, the state is debating additional increases to base funding beyond the statutorily required COLA, new declining enrollment protections, and additional categorical funding. As always, this presentation is hosted (free of charge) by our county office of education and includes an ongoing collaboration with ACSA, CSBA, SSDA, AALRR and CLIMATEC.” – Capitol Advisors
We hope to see you there.
