The reporting window for the U.S. Department of Education (ED) required Year 2 Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER)/Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Annual Reports is now open. The reporting window will remain open until May 20, 2022, at 5 p.m. The California Department of Education (CDE) Federal Stimulus Funding Reporting Portal is available at www.cde.ca.gov/fg/cr/#reporting. Please use the same password as previous reporting and assurances. Visit CDE’s Annual Reporting Help Page<www.cde.ca.gov/fg/cr/anreporthelp.asp> for more guidance.
Additionally, as a reminder, the CDE is hosting a webinar for a second chance to walk through the new ESSER/ GEER Fund Annual Reporting Systems for local education agencies (LEAs). The webinar is on May 5, 2022 at 10am. REGISTRATION is required. This webinar will support LEAs so they can effectively and efficiently complete the Annual Reporting requirements developed by ED.
LEAs will be required to report on expenditures for the following funds and time periods:
Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act
* Elementary and Secondary School Relief (ESSER) I, Resource Code 3210: Reporting Period October 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021 * Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) I, Resource Code 3215: Reporting Period October 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021
Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA Act)
* ESSER II, Resource Code 3212: Reporting Period March 13, 2020 – June 30, 2021
American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act
* ESSER III, Resource Code 3213: Reporting Period March 13, 2020 – June 30, 2021 * ESSER III, Resource Code 3214: Reporting Period March 13, 2020 – June 30, 2021

This page has been updated to go through a step-by-step process of how LEAs will be reporting for Year 2 of Annual Reporting. This will help LEAs prepare the information that will be necessary to complete the reporting as efficiently as possible.
