FOR CHARTER SCHOOLS:
Education Code 35143 requires the COE to ensure that school districts hold their organizational meetings within a specified timeline, but it does not speak to charter schools, therefore it is not necessary for charters to complete the organizational meeting survey. Should you have questions on organizational meeting or other governance-related requirements specific to your organization, we would encourage you to consult with your legal counsel and/or your organizational policies.
