Welcome to our new Finance Systems Supervisor… I am pleased to introduce Alejandro Baeza, our new Finance Systems Supervisor, who is scheduled to begin in SBAS June 5, 2023. Alejandro has worked as a personal banker for U.S. Bank, an accounting clerk for the Carpinteria Unified School District, and for the past five years as an Accountant III for the City and County of San Francisco. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Channel Islands, and a certificate of professional accountancy from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. Alejandro’s accounting, technical, and supervisory knowledge and experience, as well as his thoughtful, calm demeanor, will fit well with our existing team and help us continue to provide support to the districts we serve. Good morning,
We have learned this morning that employees who bank with Union Bank, which was recently acquired by US Bank, may see a double entry of today’s payroll direct deposit amount. It is our understanding that this double entry is only noted while the deposit is in the Pending status. Once the entry is in the Posted status, the error appears to be corrected.
We are advising affected employees to contact their bank with any questions or concerns they may have regarding this matter as this is a bank-related error.
