Please be advised that the Santa Barbara County Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office will be closed from December 26, 2022 – January 02, 2023. This includes the Santa Barbara and Santa Maria locations. Their offices will reopen on January 3, 2023.
The last day for deposits sent to our office to have a deposit record date in 2022 will be December 20, 2022. Deposits received after this date will have a recorded date of 2023.

General information, Step-by-Step instructions for opening and closing a fund, and sample resolutions are provided for districts’ use. We have also included a handy reference sheet with Fund Numbers, Names, and applicable Education Codes. In addition, we have provided a Revolving Funds Guide and sample resolutions that are complementary with this type of fund.

Todd Humphrey’s Announcement

Dear School Business Professionals,
Sharing some information regarding our staffing on the Finance Team.
Todd Humphreys has announced his resignation from SBCEO. He has accepted a promotional opportunity at Santa Barbara Unified. We thank Todd for his contributions to our department and for his support of districts during his time with us. His last day in the office will be Friday, December 9. We wish him much success in his new position.
Recruitment will be underway, and we will keep you posted when we have hired someone new for the Finance Systems Supervisor position.
